About me

Dear Wanderer,
My pen name is Ludovico Crisanti, I was born in Rome on the 3rd of May 1993. I am a 26 year old quadrilingual speaker and a bilingual poet and novelist.
I grew up in Rome. I am bilingual (Italian and English) as I went to two International schools (Marymount and AOSR) as a child.
I discovered my passion for writing when I was 15. I loved writing poetry and later I started writing novels. I felt that my writing, your writing, anyone’s  writing could be necessary. I felt that at times, it only takes a few beautiful verses, or even just a few beautiful words, to find the inspiration  to love on. And may it be clear, that that, for me, is the ultimate goal. To love on.
I wrote both in Italian and in English.  I graduated in Economics and Business at LUISS University in Rome, at the age of 22. As soon as I graduated I started writing full time. Yet, I never stopped learning. To evolve as a writer and as a poet, I followed Creative Writing and Poetry courses at John Cabot University, (American university) in Rome in 2016 when I was 23.
My first Italian novel “La Sinfonia di Emery.” was published in 2017. I appeared on national television more specifically “Rai 1” and “Canale 5”  to highlight the social value of the novel, which reveals the devastating effects that a badly managed divorce can have on children and portrays the warm beauty of late love. I took breaks from writing by travelling through Europe with a purpose. I hoped to become a quadrilingual speaker to share my vision with a wider audience. I chose to learn Spanish and French in addition to Italian and English. I lived for several months in Barcelona and Paris where I studied the language and lived the culture. I used that to take a break from the full time writing routine that was so delightful and yet so draining. I reached my goal in 2017 when I obtained a C1 Spanish certificate and in 2018 when I finally obtained a B2 French certificate. In other words, I am fluent in four languages. I discovered my passion for public speaking when I made a speech on teamwork and leadership as a guest for my high school’s (AOSR) National Honor Society. In 2019 I followed a public speaking course at the American University of Rome that allowed me  to make a speech at the Global Young Leaders Foundation in Amsterdam. My speech showed how we can use hope and intuition to achieve success.
I collaborate with the Global Young Leaders foundation in Amsterdam to empower young people. More specifically I give speeches directed to curious and unconventional students giving them the hope and the curiosity they need to start their adventure and  contribute in their own unique and original way. In 2019 I finally finished my English novel and my poetry collection. The poetry will be published by late 2020. I feel very strongly that some of my poems should be shared with you, because they may give you a hopeful feeling, and a hopeful feeling, at times, is just what we need to love on.

Thank you for your time.
Yours truly, Ludovico.
